There is a NIL EXCESS for all claims (you won't have to pay anything out of your pocket) if a claim is made against you.

Your three steps to Professional Indemnity coverage
It is a requirement of the insurance Contracts Act 1984 and the Corporations Act 2001 that the notices 1., 2., 3., 4., and 5. available from the menu under "The Fine Print" be brought to your attention before you apply for insurance. Step 1.Click the Get Informed tab at the top of this page and take the time to read "The Fine Print" (you will be required to confirm that you have read and accept the legal conditions laid out in this document before completing the online transaction, when you get to Step 2). Step 2.Click the Payment Gateway tab and enter your details into the form to begin the online transaction. Choose your appropriate premium from the tables in the right column (from either Category 1 or 2) and then enter this dollar amount into the "Total Amount Payable" field of the Payment Gateway form. Note 1: You can choose to apply for insurance cover for more than one health practitioner with the one policy. Simply add your choice of the approriate premiums for each practitioner together and enter this amount as the Total Amount Payable, and then enter the number of practitioners you wish to cover in the field provided. Note 2: Premiums vary slightly according to the State or Territory in which you reside - take care to choose from the appropriate State column. Note 3: Coverage begins when we have received payment and a signed copy of the completed application form containing your information, which you will print out in Step 3.
Step 3.Click the third tab at the top of the page Fill Out the Form and an interactive form pdf. Once you fill out all the fields, you will be prompted to click the download bar. This form |
